In the vast African continent, different regions have distinct geographical environments and climatic characteristics. From the hot and arid areas around the Sahara Desert to the humid and rainy equatorial rainforest regions, the construction of family courtyards faces numerous challenges. However, an increasing number of African families are now choosing PVC fencing, which has become a practical shield to enhance the functionality and safety of courtyards with its excellent performance. The stories of the Mohamed family in Egypt and the Ngoma family in Congo clearly illustrate the changes brought about by PVC fencing.

The Mohamed family lives in a village on the edge of the Sahara Desert in Egypt, where the climate is hot, dry, and sunny with frequent sandstorms. Their previous mud wall fence gradually developed cracks and peeling due to long-term sun exposure and sand erosion. Sandstorms easily penetrated the earthen wall, covering the courtyard in thick dust, while heavy rains caused parts of the wall to collapse, posing safety risks. After seeing a PVC fence in town, Mohamed replaced his old fence and found it performed perfectly: resistant to high temperatures and UV rays, effective against sandstorms, and its geometric patterns complemented the family’s traditional mud-brick house. Now they can safely dry grains and their children play without worrying about sand.

In Congo’s tropical rainforest, the Ngoma family faced year-round high humidity, heavy rain, and rampant mosquitoes. Their wooden fence rotted quickly in the damp environment, with broken panels failing to block mosquitoes. After installing a 1.8-meter PVC fence with a bark-like design, the courtyard transformed: the fence resisted moisture without mold, its height deterred mosquitoes, and the family now enjoys a pergola in their safe, comfortable space. Neighbors have since praised the fencing and considered similar upgrades.

From arid deserts to humid rainforests, PVC fencing’s superior performance and versatile designs make it an ideal solution for African family courtyards. It creates secure, comfortable outdoor spaces, elevating daily life and allowing families to cherish peaceful moments in their own yards.
