Lake Ontario, Canada: A Cozy Guardian Adapting to Temperature Differences and Storms
The Morrows reside in a countryside by Lake Ontario, where winters are long and cold (down to -30°C) with frequent blizzards, and summers are hot with large day-night temperature differences. Their former iron fence’s paint peeled rapidly in extreme temperatures, with rust weakening its structure. During storms, the fragile fence swayed noisily in gales, posing major safety risks.
To improve this, the Morrows installed a PVC fence: a 2-meter-tall white model with Victorian-style carvings, topped with windproof baffles. Made of freeze-proof and heat-resistant materials, it maintained performance between -30°C and 35°C, free from cracking or deformation; its special impact-resistant design withstood winds above level 10. The elegant PVC fence elevated the courtyard’s style, blending perfectly with their Lake Ontario countryside villa. The Morrows built a wooden terrace inside, adding a swing, grill, maple trees, and blueberry bushes. In spring and autumn, the family grills and swings, enjoying the lake view; in winter, they gather by the terrace fireplace, watching snow outside while feeling warm and peaceful.
